Insomnia, or sleep disturbance, is a common problem faced by many people at different stages of life. One of the main factors affecting the quality of sleep is regularity. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends. This helps to synchronize the body's internal clock and improve the quality of sleep.


The bedroom should be cozy and calm. Provide a dark environment, a comfortable bed, and a comfortable temperature. Avoid using electronic devices before bed, as the blue light from screens can reduce the production of melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep.


Stress and anxiety can be one of the causes of insomnia. Relaxation practices such as deep breathing, yoga, meditation, and outdoor walks can help reduce stress levels and improve sleep quality.


Regular physical activity promotes deep and quality sleep. However, it is worth remembering that physical activity in the late afternoon can increase wakefulness. Therefore, it is better to practice in the morning or in the afternoon.


Caffeine and alcohol can have a negative effect on sleep. Avoid their consumption closer to the night. Instead of caffeine in the evening, it is preferable to choose decaffeinated drinks or herbal teas.


One common habit that can lead to insomnia is working or watching screens in bed. Gradually set a limit for work and play before bed to prepare your body for rest.


If sleep problems become chronic and seriously affect the quality of life, it is worth seeking help from a specialist. Doctors or psychotherapists can offer individual recommendations and approaches for solving this problem.


Fighting insomnia takes patience and effort, but it is absolutely doable. By combining a regular sleep schedule, creating a comfortable atmosphere, managing stress, and other approaches, you can significantly improve the quality of your sleep and overall health. Remember that each body is different, so it may take time to find the most appropriate approach to combat insomnia.
